Have you ever casually mentioned a restaurant and later found your friend raving about it? Or introduced a new concept that a colleague mysteriously brings up in a meeting? While we can't directly control someone's thoughts, there are ways to nudge them in a certain direction. Here's how to subtly plant ideas in others' minds:
1. Speak Their Language: People connect with ideas framed in terms they understand. Tailor your language to their interests and experiences. Talking sports to a sports fan about a new brand of sneakers they might like? More likely to resonate than a technical jargon-filled presentation.
2. Plant the Seed Early: Casually introduce the idea early in a conversation. This gives it time to simmer in their subconscious. Later, when the topic comes up again (ideally initiated by them), your idea feels familiar and even their own.
